cabbage rolls Blanche cabbage leaves until just wilted. Saute onion in a pan, brown some beef seasoned with trader joes grill and broil and salt, drain grease. Add 1 pkg cooked saffron rice and 1/2 can cut tomatoes (i used the kind with the peppers and seasonings), and chopped fresh parsley. Wrap mixture in cabbage leaves and place in a casserol pan. In small pan put more olive oil, garlic and onion add rest of the tomatos and liquid, beef boulion, and some red wine to make a thick sauce. Pour over top and cover and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. oh, and i put cheese on it too, which is not orthodox...forgive. Cabbage Bhaaji Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Flavour the oil with cumin + mustard seeds + urad daal (split lentil) + 1" chopped ginger + half tsp turmeric powder + 3 chopped green chilies. Add 1 small chopped cabbage + 1 tsp garam masala + salt and stir fry. Cover and cook until done.
